Well, for what it's worth, "WKRP in Cincinatti" has a few hits on the
Internet MOVIE database. TV Series go along movies. So, a recorded TV
program could very well be considered the same as a movie. It may even
have a hit in the IMDB.
The difference is the actual type. One has to mount an iso file
before throwing a player at it, but that's transparent to the user.
One might not play a .mov file (which has so far no audio on my box
when played inside MythTV but is fine played standalone with xine) the
same way as a mpeg. So on so forth. Apart from that, it's all the same
stuff.
My two cents, more or less newbie value.
