Along this line, I'm looking to add Digital and HD recording capability to
my Myth box, and I'd rather keep the additional load on the CPU low (i.e.
I'd like to not have to upgrade the whole system if I can help it).
Is there any available list of Digital/HD tuner cards that encode in
hardware? I've been perusing the various manufacturer websites, and have
seen almost no mention of this, and nothing that clearly states "hardware
encoding".
I'm guessing that it is either because they all do, or because none (that I
have looked at) do.
Sorry for the "newb-ish" question, but I <am> a newbie at the whole
digital/HD thing.
