Sounds a lot like your system is using the wrong tuner definition (for
the tuner kernel module) and is not properly switching bands.

I'm assuming you configured from scratch (i.e. not from a configuration
from before the channel re-mapping).  If that's not the case (if you
edited the channels after the remapping), you should probably do the
