Are you sure that was your issue?  That's the first I've ever heard
that.  Everything I can recall ever reading indicated that the 5200
cards are perfectly fine for mythtv at HD resolutions.  I can't say
firsthand, as I have a GeForce 7100GS.  Since I needed PCI-e only
newer chipsets were an option for me.

Hi.

I know for sure that it is a problem with pixel clock bandwidth on the DVI
connection for all 5x00 series cards, I think VGA is OK though.

At work I tried for a long time to get a 5700 series card to display the
native resolution of 1600x1200 on an LCD monitor.
By telling the driver to ignore EDID information I managed to get the card
to display at this resolution, but this resulted in pixel crawling and
flickering images.
