Umm... BS. :)  Once the initial request/response exchange is complete,
it's just raw bytes flying across a socket.  What you say may only be
true if you're comparing to a UDP-based transport over a LAN, as TCP
has a certain amount of overhead, but that's hardly a fault of HTTP.
