[mythtv-users] mythfrontend does no react on every remote/lirc "click"

Hi,

I am trying to clean my mythbox and to finally make everything work.
One last for today.

One thing I do not like is that mythfrontend does not react on every
remote click. Example:
I run "irw" from the lirc package and I hold button Down. I hold it
pressed and this is what I get in around 3-5 seconds:
00000000800f041f 00 Down PVR500_MCE
00000000800f041f 01 Down PVR500_MCE
00000000800f041f 02 Down PVR500_MCE
00000000800f041f 03 Down PVR500_MCE
00000000800f041f 04 Down PVR500_MCE
00000000800f041f 05 Down PVR500_MCE
00000000800f041f 06 Down PVR500_MCE
00000000800f041f 07 Down PVR500_MCE
00000000800f041f 08 Down PVR500_MCE
00000000800f041f 09 Down PVR500_MCE
00000000800f041f 0a Down PVR500_MCE
00000000800f041f 0b Down PVR500_MCE
00000000800f041f 0c Down PVR500_MCE
00000000800f041f 0d Down PVR500_MCE

I get 13-14 lines. That means that lirc catches 13-14 commands while I
am holding the button for a few seconds.

But mythfrontend reacts much slower. It is like mythfrontend would
react on every fifth/sixth command. The fastest way to scroll down in
MythTv menus is to press the Down/Up/Left/Right buttons as fast as I
can. But why should I do that when lirc catches much more commands?

This is very "nice" to see when I am changing volume or scrolling down
when searching for a show in the alphabetical list of shows (the list
where you can select a beginning letter of the show). The only way to
scroll fast is by pressing remote buttons fast although lirc catches
much more from the remote.

When I hold down the Volume +/- button in mythfrontend menu, volume
is being changed, but it is pretty slow although lirc sent (or got)
much more. That means that mythfrontend could change volume much
faster.

I hope you understand what I say :). Is there any way to make
mythfrontend catch everything lirc catches?

Is this actually lirc or mythfrontend problem?

M.
