But it could be another setting...

(This post was made to preempt anyone else's posting that suggesting. 
Until you've created a patch that implements the record-partial-shows
functionality and adds the setting where users can /optionally/ activate
the new functionality, please don't post to suggest that /someone else/
do the work that you are unwilling/unable to do yourself.)
