Are you using cable or satellite?  Often there's delay introduced in
getting the signal onto the system.  My DishNET local channels were
delayed by well over 30 seconds (possibly closer to a minute) compared
to broadcast OTA.  ("Were" because I dropped Dish so I could get
high-def, not because they've "fixed" it.)  Digital cable is often
delayed, too.

I'm using Cable. I know of the delay but this seems to be more than that.. 
I only believe this because last year the recordings were fine. Althou now
that I think about it, it might be that I'm recording more shows so I can't
do what I used to, over record by 2 mins.
