With 2 frontends, you could listen to both at once.  :)

In general (not targeted at any particular person in the thread),
hardware is much cheaper than software, so unless you're willing to
invest in the software--i.e. write the code to bring in these types of
useful-for-only-some functionality--buying new hardware is often the
best approach.  And, even if you are willing to write the code, you'll
probably find that buying new hardware is a lot cheaper.
