Hi Shacky

I've got an EX1000EG board. The problem is that it uses a CX700M2 graphics
processor. This is pretty new, and isn't supported too well in Linux.

There are usually two options with VIA graphics drivers - you can use the
open source Openchrome drivers, or use VIA's own kind-of-open-source
drivers. Unfortunately the Openchrome drivers don't fully support the
CX700M2 yet (they don't handle MPEG2 or MPEG4 acceleration).

The VIA drivers are a pain to build, but I have got them up and running and
accelerating MPEG2 and MPEG4 in mplayer. But (and this is a pretty big but)
when I try to play live TV or recordings through Myth, the whole system
locks up.

I'm in the middle of troubleshooting this at the moment, but as it stands if
I were you I'd avoid this board and go for one of the older ones.

Olly
