[mythtv-users] video driver problems PLEASE HELP

Check your appearance menu and make sure that you're just running myth
in a fullscreen window and that you're not using any video mode
switching.

Also, so you're running with a VGA monitor and a TV connected at the
same time right now?  If that's the case, maybe its' getting messed up
with having two devices attached or something.
