I don't know if this is still the case, but when I setup my DVB-T system 
a few months ago, I imported the channels.conf file (as a full scan in 
Myth crashed for me), but I then deleted the channels in Myth and did a 
scan of existing transports. In other words, all I was really using the 
channels.conf file for was for the transport details. I found that gave 
me better results than importing the channels.conf and leaving it at that.
