>Does anyone have any experience using low profile cards in a front end? I just purchased an IBM NetVista >Desktop machine to use as a frontend, and it apparently requires a "low profile" video card (the back panel is too >short for a standard pci card). It's a P4 1.6ghz, with AGP. I'm inclined to go with this: >http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814139165 Anyone have experience with >anything similar (I saw at least one Mythtv reference in the comments)? Anything else to recommend?

Replaced a 7500 LE with this http://www.pcconnection.com/ProductDetail?Sku=6303598. Nearly the same card.
It is a PCI that can be standard or low profile. I couldn't be happier. It's the first card I've had that "just works" right out of the box.
