It depends on the dish. I pointed a Starchoice dish at the Telstar 5
sat to get RTP for my inlaws. I just have a FTA receiver on it to get
the portuguese channel.

You will need to see what type of lnb and what polarity the sat you
are trying to receive talks on.

Other than that, I would theink the DVB-S card should pick up whatever
the FTA box would.
