You are using --do-channel-updates when running mythfilldatabase
for the
digital (firewire) source, right? Digital channels are never
automatically added by mythfilldatabase in case they're
encrypted/not
available in the package/require scanning.

RESPONSE BELOW
Well the cache support wiki doesn't say anything about running
mythfilldatabase with that option. It only says, --remove-new-channels.
Also, firewire input screen within mythtv-setup will not bring down listings
from SD lineup. I'll give that a try I suppose. thank you.
