I guess I was looking at it from the perspective of a cable/fios
owner. The satellite companies don't maintain as firm a lock on the
set top boxes that cable/fios companies do.

Mainly I'm skeptical of their stated reason for not implementing under
Linux, as Kevin mentioned.
