[mythtv-users] NFS version 3 or 4

If I don't care about authentication through kerberos, does NFS-v4 give me
any advantages over 3?  According to wikipedia "Version 4 (RFC
3010<http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3010>,
December 2000; revised in RFC 3530 <http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3530>,
April 2003), influenced by
AFS<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_File_System>and
CIFS <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CIFS>, includes performance
improvements,"  but does the tuning from the NFS part of the performance
howto make that redundant?
