It's not so weird that it happened with the transition to FC7.
They probably enable composite by default and they may be using
some newer nvidia driver which doesn't support XVideo overlay.
I wish I could help, but those are the only config options I
know about for this. Maybe they patched Xorg so that you can't
disable composite?
