[mythtv-users] Is mythtv threaded

How would you go about setting up Mythtv to use "transcode" instead what
ever mythtv uses to transcode right now?

I know that Transcoding is not threaded as my second cpu never goes over
5%
when I am transcoding a single mpeg.

It depends what transcoder you are using. If you use mencoder, it is not
multithreaded, but if you use transcode, it is. I have a core 2 duo and
transcode uses 100% of both of the cpus when it is transcoding. Run
"nuvexport --transcode" to use transcode. Otherwise, you can just run
your
single threaded transcoder twice and transcode two shows at the same
time.
