...which is why, whenever anyone makes such a suggestion on this list, you will 
*always* find a follow-up from someone like me or Mike telling the poster to 
take his/her suggestions elsewhere. Even if it doesn't affect us personally, the 
subject in question threatens the usefulness, even the existence, of the list. 
That is why we are bound to defend the list, the software it concerns, and the 
devs who provide that software.
