[mythtv-users] change channel script problem

Running Mythtv 0.20.2-3; it was installed from a suse 10.2 rpm file
using opensuse's smart installer.

Lirc is version 0.8.0-41
ivtv-0.8.0-9

all EXCEPT channel changing appears to work OK.

The channel change script (a perl program that was included with the
install packages) works like a champ when it is executed from a command
line; but is - at best - very sporadic when trying to execute it from
within mythtv.

Does anyone have any ideas?
