[mythtv-users] Forcing tuner channel - working?

I've spent hours on this today - and I've come to discover that the 
option in mythbackend to force the tuner to a specific channel (like I 
need to do with my DirecTC STB) just doesn't work.

The only way to force the tuner is to use ivtv-tune -c 3.
