Asking for help is a measure of one's commitment to solving a problem. If
anything it shows that there is commitment.
Not everyone is at the same level of competence when it comes to computers
and bug resolution.
I guess it comes down to a question of "Do we want Linux only to to used
by geeks or by the common person?" Given the work done towards usability i
would argue the latter. However, it's the elitist attitude that chases
away the latter.
I'm working hard in my community to help people use linux on a daily
basis. My biggest hurdle has been some of the attitude i've found.
My initial comment was kind of a knee-jerk one. If this is
counter-productive to the list, i'm happy to drop it or take it elsewhere
and you have my apologies.
