Apparently the best way to get a BUD is through scavenging.   Find someone 
with a dish and ring the doorbell with an offer to buy.

I doubt that the motorola 922 receiver is still being manufactured.  They 
apparently have a 10 year life span, since some vital info is stored in RAM 
powered by a battery.  Aside from the massive startup cost, this is what I 
would be most afraid of -- a dead receiver after a couple of years, and no 
way to get a new one.
