As I recall (and I hope I'm not mixing 2 different topics in my mind),
there was a posting by someone (don't recall if it was in these forums
or on a blog) from someone who was passing along info from somebody
working on a preview version of the device. They posted screenshots
and even some sample ts files from its output. From what I recall, the
answer to all of your questions would be NO.

However, being that it was passed along 3rd hand, take it for what
it's worth. I certainly saw no motivation to lie (and as I recall, the
person who had their hands on it was not an employee), but you are
always welcome to wear your tinfoil hat.
