[mythtv-users] help with hdhomerun setup

I've recently purchased an HDHomeRun but I haven't yet been able to get
any video off the device.

I followed the instructions on the wiki and everything looked good.
I was able to connect to it from mythtv and do the channel scan and
it added channels at exactly the same numbers that matched the list
for my zip code on the Silicon Dust web page, but when I try to
view any of those channels in live tv, I get a black screen.

I get these errors in the backend log:

....
(many repetitions)

The front end shows the channel number and a signal strength (93%) on
top of the black screen, but then about two seconds later goes to a
menu saying "Error was encountered while displaying video." and the
only option is "Return to Menu".

I found this in the google cache:

http://64.233.169.104/search?q=cache:Qa86p8QkG6gJ:www.silicondust.com/forum/viewtopic.php%3Ft%3D4818%26start%3D15%26sid%3D3cba9990f48fc01b02b0f496443f949d+Invalid+file+descriptor+in+%27safe_read()%27&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=3&gl=us

so I'm not the only one with this problem, but the hdhr seems pretty
popular and this problem seems pretty rare, so I'm not sure what's going
on.

Can someone offer a suggestion of something to try?

Thanks,

Eric Sharkey
