Not sure if this applies to the cards as well, although some of the
Hauppauge cards are just USB receivers and a hub on a pci card so it
could be valid - anyway the Hauppauge USB sticks are notoriously
fickle about signal strength, both too weak and too strong. Some
people on the linuxtv mailing list report success only when they stick
an attenuator in the line because the Hauppauge tuner can't handle
signals that are too strong (!) Since the Avermedia is working this
might well be a solution.
