hmm, interesting. i am still planning on going to test drive a couple
screens this weekend. the only 'decent' laptop i have is my MBP. i
just /assumed/ that because it was capable of pushing Apples big
monitors that it would be fine. i guess the only way i'm going to get
real world (my world anyway) results is to cart my MythBox along with
me. i don't see that happening. :)
my max resolution on the MBP is listed as 1440x900, but i believe that
is the max that the MBP LCD does, not necessarily what the video card
can output. i guess i'll see what options i have when i attempt to
output to another screen.
maybe i'll end up having to go the dvd route. David Fishburn
mentioned that he created a dvd of some recordings and various content
to take in and view. i kinda thought a dvd would give skewed results
since the player may attempt to scale things. maybe i'll have to take
a homemade dvd as another test.
any other testing scenarios?
