How old is that v4l-dvb tree?
Do you have the right firmware?

I have removed that warning from the wiki page a few days ago, when it
was confirmed that the problem was coming from a USB2 EHCI in the rest
of the kernel, not from the v4l-dvb code.
Ah, nope... I removed it from the dib0700-based pages, not from this
table. Doing it now.

You should not have any issues with Mythbuntu, 2.6.22 and the Nova-T-500
with a recent v4l-dvb tree. I did not. I still do not, as the USB bug as
been fixed, and it was only introduced on 2.6.24, not 2.6.22.
Describe your problems again, please.
