Not sure about *buntu since I've never used any of them, but if you have
vncserver installed, log in as the user you want to run vnc, then from the
command line, execute vncserrver. It will tell you that it's putting stuff
in the home directory of that user and will by default start an x server on
:1. Then use VNC Client on the remote machine to connect to your server on
port 1.

Here's what i got when i ran vncserver

xauth: /home/steve/.Xauthority not writable, changes will be ignored
xauth: error in locking authority file /home/steve/.Xauthority

New 'X' desktop is mythtv-server:2

Starting applications specified in /etc/X11/Xsession
Log file is /home/steve/.vnc/mythtv-server:2.log

When i ran vncserver :1

I got this:

A VNC server is already running as :1

But i can't connect to it, also, i can't do vncserver -kill :1

vncserver -kill :1

Can't find file /home/steve/.vnc/mythtv-server:1.pid
You'll have to kill the Xrealvnc process manually

But, i was able to get into vncserver 2...strange. Oh well, at least in the
end, i can log in, so that's cool.

Now onto the remote that was suppossed to just work with mythbuntu : )

-Thanks
