[mythtv-users] Issues initializing firewire tuner

I have a Motorola DCT-3412 STB that I have connected to my system via 
Firewire.  Using plugreport, I can see that it's talking, and I can use 
firewire_tester to capture a test mpg.  I went thru the excercise 2 
nights ago

to get the channels that I want to use via firewire into my DB and SD 
lineup.

Now, whenever I restart my backend and check the logs, I see the 
following error:

    Problem with capture cards   Card 6failed init

I have the tuner setup to use Broadcast and communicate at 100mbps.  I 
also noticed that nothing is shown for GUID when I set it up in 
mythtv-setup.  Has anyone gotten their firewire connection to their STB 
working?  Why won't my tuner initialize?
