Evidently no-one knows much about this but I have been investigating it a more 
after finding one or two occurrences of this on pretty much very DCA 
soundtrack I played.

I found a reasonable spec-like document 
(http://pagesperso-orange.fr/olivier.adler/PDF/dts_102114v010101p.pdf) which 
describes DCA in some detail and termination frames in particular (at least I 
know what they are now and why they are necessary). Unfortunately I can't get 
my head around myth's sound processing to figure out what makes this too hard 
to implement. :-(
