All though I'm sure you've probably noticed this, but I'd say if there
was any error message it should be showing it's ugly head right about
here:

I haven't seen in this long thread, but is this bug reproducible? E.g.
have you reproduced this by starting with a completely fresh install
of MythTV and virgin database, just setting up the cards, sources, and
going straight to LiveTV?
