[mythtv-users] Why Free Software has poor usability ?

Wouldn't it be an idea that in the process of that conversion the 
developers use the sometimes-slightly-critiqued motto of "If you want it 
differently, please provide patches" and you just go ahead and scrap 
those useless options from the GUI? If things might need to be re-added 
it would require a patch, and that path would place the those options 
(if the patch is accepted of course) into the new beginner/expert 
implementation of the options.

Lonely complainers without a patch can always use MythWeb to edit the 
settings themselves.
