Even worse is when you have to replace a motherboard and Windows decides
you have installed it on a new machine.

The comment about bulk license purchasers made sense though, if you are
big enough you can negotiate licensing terms. The consumer is screwed,
but then he or she probably never read the license anyway, and wouldn't
understand it if he did. After all, the attorneys who write those things
can't agree on what they mean.

I'll stick with FOSS as much as I can.
