I do have a PVR-150, but no IR Blaster.

Why would this "fail", when lower number channels not fail?

What other info would be required? I sent the info from the time frame  
of the "abort", in the /var/log/mythtv/mythbackend.log. There was  
nothing in /var/log/messages.
