[mythtv-users] Trying to set up login options crashes system

Thank you Robert for posting a reply.

I poked around a little and found /etc/gdm/gdm.conf-custom.  I made the 
following change:

[daemon]

DefaultSession=

TimedLoginDelay=10


Now a restart of X only delays 3 seconds!!

I am sorry for the double post.  However, you were unsuccessful in 
reading my mind.  It was not intensional.

For some reason I don't get a copy of my own posts so I cannot confirm 
if they go through.  In this particular case, I sent the first post from 
a non-registered email address.  When I realized my mistake, I assumed 
it didn't go through so I sent it again from the registered email 
address.  Turns out that Gmail changes my email address to match the 
account, which matches the registered address.  This explains why so 
much personal mail is going to the wrong address.  Now I have to figure 
out how to get Thunderbird to use the smtp server I want.  So, this 
turned out to be a useful post in spite of it being off the mark. :^)
