That's true in just about any endeavor.

Ahhh, thanks for that tidbit of information. That really puts HD into
perspective.

Someday I hope to get to try that. For now I'm living in a valley
about 100km from the nearest DTV transmitter, so OTA isn't much of an
option.

It was, of course, as that is mostly what Google turns up.

Well. I should apologize as I hijacked it into this direction. But, on
topic threads are boring. ;-) I'll admit that I've ignored video
stuff until I started playing with Myth two weeks ago. As far as I'm
concerned, my PVR-150 works very well for my purposes which is as a
replacement for my 1993 vintage Magnavox VCR. I learned many new
things from this thread that I can apply and I thank all of you.
