Why dont you get a wireless bridge and connect your RJ45 wired into
it...Won be suitable if you have frontends going but for SSH, WWW,
schedules direct it would be fine.

Two options:

or get a wrt54g and put DD-WRT on it.  put it in bridge mode....then
you could even connect your HDHR to that switch and have two digital
tuners.
