[mythtv-users] How is a master backend identified?

Thanks much.
I already have my database on a separate machine from any of the
backends, so I don't think that will be an issue. So it sounds like
it's just updating mythtv-setup on all machines with the IP of the new
box. I can configure my DHCP to assign the new hardware the old IP,
so that shouldn't be an issue.
How about hostname? I think I've seen a lot of stuff in the database
stored by hostname instead of IP. If I want to keep settings, do I
need to use the same hostname? If I don't want fresh settings, must I
make sure not to use the same hostname?
