I think I figured out what's wrong. I finally compiled firewire_tester
and tried out the firewire connection.
Only the first attempt is successful, the rest will fail. Same for
both P2P and broadcast mode.
I cannot prime my firewire for capture at all :(

Interestingly, test-mpeg2 always work for me. So I can get live TV
with the ghetto command:

and changing channel using surechage.sh. Oh well..
