What have you got selected (or tried selecting) on the first page of
Setup->TV Settings->Playback? In particular have you tried these ones:
Enable realtime priority threads
Extra audio buffering
Use video as timebase
Enable OpenGL vertical sync for timing

I have these all set except "Use video as timebase".
