[mythtv-users] Very far OT: killing Ford/GM right now

I wanted to comment on this from the OT Seagate thread:

I did buy a Ford in 2002. I think it broke my dad's heart because he
is a Chevy man. Anyways my shinny red 02 escape is still running fine.
With that said, it is my big intention to try to keep it running as
long as I can. The big reason is the gas crises. I mean in some time
in the next decade gasoline prices will be significantly higher(
$8/gal ?) than they are today. My hope is by then one of these
alternate technologies (electric, hydrogen, ethanol ...) will actually
be viable. I wonder out how many others are in the same mindset as
this and are holding off purchases for this reason.
