Assuming you're right about it not having to do with #1104, this 
(playback of audio during fast forward) usually occurs because of a 
corrupted seektable.  optimize_mythdb.pl, then use mythcommflag 
--rebuild or (for MPEG-2), mythtranscode --buildindex on each affected 
recording.
