It's not really a "bug," though. Presumably it works exactly how the
developer who wrote it wanted it to work. I disagree with their user
interface philosophy but that's just my opinion.

A while back I looked at the example code (complete with Monty Python-
related comments) in the Unix Hater's Handbook and decided I wasn't
going down that road. ;) I've also never been much good with C++. My
college class in it spent as much time talking about how to work
around g++ 2.x compiler bugs as it did talking about actual code and
I've avoided it ever since.
