Thanks, Brad. From the previous log entries I figured it was a
mythtranscode problem, but the entries weren't very helpful other than the
fact that it said that it didn't work. ;-\

I couldn't actually find a log file generated by mythtranscode, so I just
tried running it from the CLI to see what happened...not very helpful:

[mythtv at vader: /mythtv/recordings]$ mythtranscode --mpeg2 --honorcutlist
-c 1931 -s 2007-09-24T21:58:00 -o /mythtv/recordings/temp/work/1/tmp
2008-02-28 11:31:22.751 Using runtime prefix = /usr
2008-02-28 11:31:22.858 New DB connection, total: 1
2008-02-28 11:31:23.187 Enabled verbose msgs: important
2008-02-28 11:31:23.213 New DB connection, total: 2
Mux rate: 39.84 Mbit/s
Segmentation fault

Hmmmm....anything else I can try to figure out why it's segfaulting?

Thanks
Bob
