No, that says I am right....look at the bottom of the page in the Hints
section. The last bullet reads:
Copyright-protected Blu-ray video discs can only output at 1080p using an
HDMI cable connected to a device that is compatible with the HDCP standard.
This is part of the DRM on the Blu Ray spec. You can only view 100% quality
with HDMI with HDCP locked around it.
This device is still great for 1080i and I will buy one if the quality is
good.
