Ok...

    On the one hand, it does kind of suck that it takes about
4 times as longer to transcode HD recordings as it does SD
recordings...

    OTOH, every Linux cpu in the house can be employed to deal
with the problem. It's just an apt-get away. What can't transcode
can commflag.

    Between my desktop, my frontend, and my backend I've got 5
cpus distributed over the home network catching up on the backlog.

    That's just too cool...
