My advise is to install a 2nd hard drive or partition your existing 
drive so that you can have a small ext3 drive/part for your OS and a XFS 
(JFS is not recommended last time I heard) for your recordings. This 
provides the additional benefit of keeping your sql and OS activity 
separate from your recording activity.
