I reverted back to the 100.14.xx drivers because I couldn't get XvMC 
working with the latest 169.xx driver from Nvidia.  It (XvMC with the 
proprietary Nvidia drivers) has worked for me from the older drivers up 
to the last of the 100.14.xx drivers, but the latest driver seems to 
ignore all of the settings/files. :(
